I honestly don't care much for italian roasts but this one has certainly changed my mind. It has a full bodied flavor, not acidic, but pleastantly smooth. However, if you're making espresso with it, I can't see it working very well. Although it actually says extra bold, it's just right for a 12 ounce mug. If you added more, i.e., for a specialty drink, along with flavorings, etc., I honestly think it would be a bit weak. My suggestion? Cut it open and use two of these in your regular percolator or coffee pot if you're wanting a true espresso. Through a Keurig, it might be a bit weak. Highly recommend - the taste is amazing!
