Occasionally when I hit up close out stores such as Marshalls or Home Goods they have coffee on sale at a very reduced price. One day I went in looking for Kona which they regularly have in these close out stores and found one bag of this lingering under a pile of other brands. I decided to try it on a whim since I had never had "German" coffee.Unbelievably smooth rich taste that just knocked my socks off and I do not mind paying a higher price at all after finding this brand. Love it and I would go on record to say this is the best coffee I have ever had.

This is the exact same coffee I get when I visit Germany. It tastes great! It's also a good price (at under $24 per 2 packs). I ordered three of those (total of 6 half-pound packs). Including shipping costs this equals just a wee bit more than seven bucks per 8 ounce pack (the standard size in my grocery store). So only marginally more expensive than any of the starbucks and co brands.Shipping was great. It arrived in four days. I will be canceling a subscription I have with another gourmet coffee vendor because they ship with Fedex Smartpost, which takes two (2!) weeks to get here.

Dallmayr is a smooth medium roast coffee that goes well with milk and is really a dessert coffee (for after a heavy meal). The coffee has a wonderfully rich aroma and a slightly sweet character to its taste. Its not bitter and is mildly acidic. . . This is NOT a wake up coffee. . . Those of you who are used to Starbucks will be pleasantly surprised by this coffee. . .
